abandoned health clinic
This site, located near the former Suan Luang night bazaar in Lumpini, Bangkok, appears to be a former health clinic. It was one of a number of such clinics built under the patronage of the Princess Mother to provide care for families of low income (via the Mae Fah Luang Foundation). There is a lot of development going on in the area currently (August 2017), and the structure's days seem to be numbered. Construction just across from the clinic has just begun on the largest shopping mall complex in Southeast Asia (because Bangkok really needs another mall). The building itself is fairly unremarkable compared to other derelict sites in town, but the light coming in from the skylight windows provides some eerie yellow shine into the center. Also, on the first day that I shot here, just after some heavy rain, there was a large rainbow which made for a good backdrop to the white paint of the clinic.
