abandoned health clinic
This site, since demolished, was located near the former Suan Lum night bazaar in Lumpini, Bangkok, was at one time a health clinic. It was one of a number of such clinics built under the patronage of the Princess Mother to provide care for families of low income (via the Mae Fah Luang Foundation). There is a lot of development going on in the area currently toward the Bangkok One project, and the structure's days were to be numbered.
Construction work just across from the clinic is assembling the largest shopping mall complex in Southeast Asia (because Bangkok really needs another mall). The building itself is fairly unremarkable compared to other derelict sites in town, but the light coming in from the skylight windows provided some eerie yellow shine into the central foyer.
Additionally, on the first day that I visited tis place, just after some heavy rain, there was a large rainbow which made for a good backdrop to the chipped white paint of the clinic.
