New World Mall OLD Photos
These are images of the New World Mall, now abandoned, when it was in operation between 1983 and the 1998.
The video is from the 1990 film 'Nong Mia', filmed on location at New World Mall.
The last 3 images are of another mall similar to New World but without water or fish.

The original iconic New World elevator is still in operation to this day in the famous Ambassador Hotel on Sukhumvit!

**New details added April 2022**
-At the time it was a mall unlike any other mall. There was a bar and a snooker table, including a beer shop (very unusual at the time and even today).
-The mall was legally constructed until 1981 when it was renovated into a 12-story building, which is very tall.
-In fact, it was safe, but a city plan was changed in 1997 and the building had to be demolished.
-Because in 1999, Kaew Fah Department Store, which is opposite the New World A fire broke out and collapsed.
-Kaewfah Plaza was an 8-story mall. It's owned by the same owner as New World.
-There was a car lift to the 10-11th floor of the building, where the 10-11th floor was the parking lot.
-In fact, New World has 3 branches, namely 1.Bang Lamphu Branch, which is now a abandoned fish mall, and 2.Rattanathibet branch. Currently, it is a shooting range, 3.Saraburi branch, with 6-7 floors, abandoned since 2004.
-New World Rattanathibet Branch It is the only branch that people can still enter, it has 5 floors & an NK THX cinema.
