The Paper Mill
This paper mill in Kanchanaburi was built in 1935 by an unknown German engineer with financing from the Thai government. It was used to supply pulp during World War II & allowed for the country to print it's own bank notes. Part of the plot is located along the River Kwae.
The site is registered as a national historical site & is currently under development with plans for the 70 rai of land to become a learning centre, local museum and community space.
