Over the weekend of May 20-22, 2023, I was fortunate enough to partake in the mesmerizing rocket festival in Yasothon, an experience that has left an indelible mark on my heart. After a flight to Ubon Ratchatani, I rented a car and embarked on a scenic hour and a half drive. Arriving just in time for the start of the parades on the first day, I was immediately captivated by the vibrant display of colors, music, and traditional dance. It was a remarkable sight that affirmed my deep affection for Isan, solidifying it as my favorite region in this diverse country.
