bangkok train graveyard
as seen here: https://goo.gl/wGaXlR
This train graveyard/cemetery is located in Bang Sue District in North-central Bangkok. According to a security guard we spoke with who overlooks the site, it is about 20 years old, but the trains there are much older, some of which are 50-60 years old. What makes this place unique compared to other train cemeteries I’ve shot is that it is comprised of mainly locomotives, whereas others I’ve seen were passenger or freight cars. I didn’t count the trains, but looking back at my images there are at least 15 cars that I could see. I didn’t bother shooting the newer cars as I didn’t find them to be that interesting when compared to the ones covered in rust. The old ones have the stories to tell and subsequent photographic appeal. It is one of two that I know of in Bangkok, the other being in Makkasan and more heavily guarded. This one is smaller, lesser-known, and much more quiet.
