UNDP in Klong Toey

I had the awesome opportunity to document a very special event with the UNDP/Humanitarian Affairs Asia involving the University Scholars Leadership Symposium & a trip to a well-known 'slum' area in Bangkok to deliver some much-appreciated provisions. I went to the Klong Toey district with delegates who brought provisions and spent time speaking with the people who live in this disadvantaged, though resilient & socially vibrant community. The day began with playing games, reading stories, and teaching at the Mercy Centre and then heading out to dozens of households to deliver bags of provisions to families in their homes. It was a fantastic experience and I enjoyed being a part of it and having the chance to take photos of with some very special subjects. I visit the Klong Toey area for photo walks fairly regularly, but this is the first time that I've been invited into homes & had some close interaction with the amazing people who live there.
